Toledo Talent offers writers a unique opportunity: submit your original script and watch it come to life as a professional film production—at no cost to you.

How It Works

We maintain an ongoing library of submitted scripts. After each production wraps, we host a table read of scripts in consideration and select our next project. If your script is chosen, we provide professional development, experienced feedback, and a complete production with professional cast, crew, and equipment.

What You Get

  • A fully produced film with professional actors and crew
  • A finished product to use for your career—festivals, reels, submissions
  • Possible submission to additional film festivals at our expense
  • Your work seen and celebrated in the Toledo creative community

What We Ask

  • Your script must be original work that you own
  • If you’re developing the script elsewhere, just let us know (so we don’t duplicate efforts)
  • Once selected for production, exclusivity during that process
  • After we finish, the film stays in our library—YouTube, festivals, education, and advertising
  • Our actors also retain the right to use clips in their reels

Revenue Sharing

Scripts are developed without monetary compensation from us—the film itself is your payment. But if your film generates revenue down the road (you license it, submit to festivals and win prizes, etc.), we ask that you split it 50/50 after the first $100 per calendar year to help us support ongoing efforts. Similarly, if we generate revenue through festival prizes or distribution platforms we’ll split it 50/50.

Ready to Submit?

The ideal script for our workflow will be:

  • Between 3 and 8 pages
  • Written for at least 3 actors
  • Avoid things requireing VFX/Stunts
  • Avoid controversial or explicit material
