Fighting for Film Stunt Workshop – Ages 18+

This workshop will focus on performing stunts, action, and fighting for film. This is a very specific skill set that requires athleticism, control, and awareness. Students will learn the basic framework of the art, learn and perform fight choreography, and receive guidance on how to continue developing their skills. The focus will be on safety, technique, and having fun.

Stunts and Fight Basics
Footwork, Attacks, and Defenses,
Falls and Rolls,
Partner Flow,
Basic Throws (time permitting),

Fighting for Camera Basics
Safety and Distance Management,
Hits and Reactions,
Understanding Camera Angles,
The value of going slow,
Using physical acting to tell a story,

Fight Choreography
Learn a piece of choreography,
Iron out the details to make it sharp,
Perform in front of camera and receive feedback,
Talking about the reality of doing it on set,

Who is this workshop for?
Actors who wish to perform stunts and look good doing action,
Aspiring stunt performers,
Cinematographers who are interested in shooting action,
Martial artists, athletes, gymnasts, etc. interested in learning new skills,

All levels are welcome, however please note that this will be a very physical workshop. That being said, students are encouraged to go at their own pace.
