In this new teen acting workshop, we will focus on the fundamentals of camera acting in a three hour crash course. We’ll dive into essential skills such listening for the camera, learning how to make a genuine connection, and mastering your timings.
Each student will perform a scene for the camera, followed by a playback and group discussion to evaluate what’s working and where to grow. We’ll also explore the key differences between theater and on-camera acting, emphasizing subtlety, internalization, and technical awareness.
The last 30 minutes of the workshop will consist of a higher-level overview on the business of acting, how to get into it, and what to expect at different ages. We strongly suggest parents be present for at least this portion of the class, even if they are intending to only drop off/pick up their teen.
